August 07, 2012 STURBRIDGE — Thousands of riders participated in the 2012 Pan-Mass Challenge to raise money for cancer research and to show support for friends and loved ones who struggled with the disease. Everyone could tell it would be a hot day even before the ride began at 5:30 a.m., but riders persisted through the heat and met their goal.
